KEY POINTS TO REMEMBER ON YOUR RETURN TO COLLEGEPublished on: March 12, 2021
We are looking forward to welcoming students back to college on Monday 15th March. You should start to attend college from Monday 15th March and follow your normal timetable.
During that week, you will undertake your third test. If you have not yet booked a third test, please remember to book one at a time when you don’t have a lesson and that is 3 – 5 days since your second test. You can book this at www.tpc.ac.uk/covid-ats/
When you do your third test, we will issue you with your home testing kit. You need to test yourself at home twice a week from then on in term time. These tests need to be 3 – 5 days apart and we suggest you do them on a Monday morning and a Thursday morning.
Please take time to watch this video on how to do the home testing.
You will need to register your results each time you take a test. You will need to set up an account which will then enable you to log in and record your results. Register on https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result
Full instructions on home testing and recording your results also come with your home test kit.
Getting tested regularly is just one additional safety measure. All the other measures remain just as important:
- Regular hand-washing
- Social distancing
- Use of face masks – these will now be compulsory in lessons as well as whilst moving around the building (we do recognise some students have an exemption from this on medical grounds)
Our new Covid Wardens will also be on hand on your return to help keep everyone safe.
Students should all still act in ways that assume that they could be infectious, as could others around us, in order to protect ourselves, each other, and our families.
