Law Students Learning from Leading London BarristersPublished on: October 12, 2020
We are delighted that two of our A Level Law students have been successful in their applications to take part in a two-day work experience scheme with Radcliffe Chambers, a leading barristers’ chamber in London specialising commercial, insolvency, pensions, private client, property and charity law.
Louise Ridgeway, formerly a Crookhorn College student, and Tilly Storey, ex-Cams Hill pupil, will take part in interactive lessons on a variety of legal topics, visit local courts to watch barristers and judges work and participate in advocacy workshops. They will also be able to practice interview skills in a one-on-one mock interview session with a barrister. Louise and Tilly will also be paired with a barrister mentor, whom they will be encouraged to contact for feedback, support and advice throughout their continuing education.
We could not be prouder of both students, on their journey to become legal professionals as obtaining work experience with barristers at this age is virtually unheard of. We hope to see Tilly and Louise in a few years donning the famous wigs and cloaks fighting for the rights of clients across the country!
Radcliffe Chambers were the winners of the Bar Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year at the UK Diversity Legal Awards 2018 and are leaders in their field.
