The College will re-open on 15th June 2020.
The Government has advised that Colleges should begin to reopen from Monday 15th June in a phased capacity in order to ensure the health and safety of students and staff. We are pleased to release our latest plan with students, parents and staff for partial learning to continue on campus.
Awarding of Exam Results
England’s exam regulator, Ofqual, have released a decision regarding the assessment of GCSE, AS level and A level grades since all exams were cancelled as a result of COVID-19.
Teachers’ predictions for GCSE, AS level and A levels in England will be based on the evidence available to them, such as previous exam results, tests, homework, coursework, mock exams and more. Teachers will be asked to say what they think would have been the grades most likely to have been achieved if the summer exams had taken place based on an overall professional judgement.
They will also be asked to put students in order of expected achievement within each predicted grade band. This will be used to moderate the overall share of grades in schools across the country. Information about other qualifications such as vocational courses (BTEC/CTEC) will be available soon.
Guidance on Learning from Home
We have put together some guidance to outline what is expected of you during this closure period; please do download and read this information carefully to help you continue to learn effectively.
We would like to assure you that the Careers team will continue to offer you the best support they can on a remote basis. Please do not write with questions on exam results and university places just yet as we do not have any further information to offer at present. As more detail becomes available, we will keep you informed via email and direct you to the most appropriate sources of support.
If you have any questions or concerns in due course please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org
We know this is a very anxious time for our students and we aim to support remotely where we can. There are also a range of websites that offer tips for a positive mind such as www.mind.org.uk/information-support/coronavirus-and-your-wellbeing/ during this time.

Where trips are cancelled, we will process refunds for these. Your patience in supporting this process is appreciated.
All hire of our Sports Hall during the evening and weekends is suspended until further notice.
