Course Description

The Leadership and Management apprenticeship is designed for people who currently work, or want to work, within a supervisory or managerial role. Candidates may be responsible for giving feedback, planning, allocating & monitoring the work of a team, managing conflict and agreeing budgets. This course provides individuals with the expected skills, knowledge and behaviours of a supervisor/manager.

Course duration can vary depending on which level apprenticeship you choose. The level 3 apprenticeship has a duration of 12-18 months.

Candidates on this course are expected to be employed within a supervisory/ managerial role. Candidates who don’t have the desired GCSE A-C grade or equivalent in Maths/ English and ICT will need to commit to attend Functional skills classes.

To complete a Level 5 apprenticeship, it is expected that the candidate has already completed a Level 3 or 4 qualification.

The apprenticeship gives you a fully comprehensive bank of skills and knowledge required to be a manager in an organisation. Some of these include:

  • Managing own personal and professional discussion

Students can also create a bespoke course by opting for Awards and Certificates in the areas that are important for them to learn. 

Assessment is through practical work assignments, which are relevant to your organisation.

  • Progression to apply to become a chartered manager
  • Team Leader, Supervisor, Project Officer, Shift Manager, Foreperson
  • Receive the Foundation Chartered Management Status
