BTEC Dance, Performing Arts and A Level Business
Career aims: I would like to study a higher Business & Project Management course with the hope to have a career in Project Management.
When I moved to the area from Cambridge this was the only college that stood out to me. There was plenty of helpful information about each subject on their website which I found inspiring and the teachers offered a lot of guidance to ensure that my chosen courses were right for me. My mixed programme suits my learning style and allows me to combine an academic course with two vocational courses.

CTEC Sport
Career aims: I would like to study Sport Science at University of Portsmouth with the goal of becoming a Sport Scientist.
I knew I wanted to study Sport at college so I looked at multiple different colleges in the area for my options, but Portsmouth College stood out as the best choice! I love learning and playing sports day in day out and getting a qualification in the meantime that will set me up for my future goal.

A Level Pure Mathematics, Physics and Fine Art
Career aims: I hope to secure a place at the University of Southampton to study Engineering. I’d love to go on to work with a company like Rolls Royce or a Formula 1 team in the future.
The vibes at Portsmouth College were good – the students all seemed friendly and the staff were really helpful at the Open Days I went to. The building and the classrooms are modern and I really liked the fantastic space in the Art department. It felt like the right college for me.

A Level Business, Economics and Pure Mathematics
Career aims: After college, I want to secure employment to build up my skills and financial stability before investing in my own business.
It is different from all the other colleges as it provided me with an iPad to enhance my learning and independent study. I also played Basketball for the college when I was in Year 11 at my previous school so it was an obvious choice to go to Portsmouth College knowing it’s Basketball facility. There are a lot of extra-curricular activities you can join which have the potential to expand your knowledge and academic strength.

A Level Law, Economics, Politics and Level 3 Core Mathematics
Career aims: My ambition is to study Law at the University of Bristol or a similar competitive Russell Group university, and then train to be a solicitor.
The extra-curricular opportunities through the E6 Personal Development programme and More Able Students’ programme meant that I felt I’d be able to stand out from the crowd when applying to university. Portsmouth College just felt like the right place for me and I’m glad I made the choice to study here.
