Unfortunately, it is likely that Covid-19 will continue to have some impact on the 2020/2021 academic year. Factors outside of our control and those of the venues we use, may force change to timetables, locations, delivery and assessment methods.
We want to keep any disruption to a minimum and therefore we are working with our venues and staff to provide facilities where students can feel confident that they are able to learn safely. Our learners health and wellbeing is our priority so social distancing measures will be enforced in line with Government guidelines.
Information will be provided by the Adult Education team to students should there be a need to make last minute adaptations to any part of your course. If cancellation of a lesson is the only option then a refund will be offered for any sessions missed. We will look to resume studies as soon as possible in the event of a cancellation.
If you need to complete an initial assessment for entry to your chosen course, we will be sending these to you to complete remotely this year. It is imperative that you complete them independently so the tutor can assess what level you are working at and what support you may need if required. It will not help you if you have support in completing these assessments as once classes start, your needs will become evident and you may be required to change to a different level which will affect the success of your learning.
Please note: These initial assessments must be completed two days prior to your interview.
