A Levels in Physics, Mathematics and Further Mathematics
Career aims: I am going to take a gap year after College to either do some Sports Coaching in New Zealand or Australia or join the Camp America team. After this, I would like to go to the University of Birmingham to study Physics.
Portsmouth College has definitely lived up to my expectations! From the first term, I have been offered so many opportunities with the More Able Students Programme, Hockey Coaching and Student Ambassador work which is a great addition to my academic study. The late start time of 9.55am is also a bonus as I can also be productive before the College day begins.
A Levels in English Literature, History and Sociology
Career aims: I will certainly be going on to university after college, most likely without a gap year to a Russell Group University. I aim to secure a career within the field of Law.
I chose Portsmouth College for its inclusive and welcoming environment. Open Evenings and Taster Days enforced the diversity and academic atmosphere that I enjoy and knew I could focus on my studies here.
A Levels / BTECs in ICT and Music Technology
Career aims: I hope to go to Point Blank Music School or SAE, one of the world’s leading Creative Media institutions, as both specialise in Music Production. I will also continue to build my DJ career with Outhouse, a local company, and expand to perform at events across the South Coast and beyond.
Portsmouth College is close to home and allowed for me to combine the Music course I wanted to study with ICT. The staff in the music department have been great at guiding me in a career that isn’t easy to get involved in and can be very competitive. Having a DJ set at Victorious Festival with the College in the Summer was a personal highlight of mine.
