Portsmouth College recently released their long-time project of a community cookbook. The book is packed with recipes from students, staff and Governors, including a recipe from the Principal himself.

‘A Taste of Portsmouth College’ has been an ongoing project and has brought the community at Portsmouth College even closer, with recipes donated from across the College. Profits from the book will be donated to the Nightingale Suite within the Maternity Department of Queen Alexandra Hospital, which supports and cares for bereaved parents, their babies and families.

None of us know what life is going to present us with, so when a colleague had to access the specialist care of The Nightingale Suite the whole college community wanted to show we cared. There is no better way to bring people together than to share food, so the College created this cookbook filled with staff, student and Governors’ fantastically flavoursome, favourite recipes!

College Principal, Steve Frampton MBE, said: “The college staff, students and governors are so pleased and proud to announce the launch of this fantastic book. With your support, we hope to achieve our fundraising aims for The Nightingale Suite, which delivers an incredible service within our community. The book is full of great ideas and fabulous tried and tested recipes, perfect for any occasion. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing project.”

Abbie Aplin, Head of Maternity, acute services commented, “The Maternity Service at QA are delighted that Portsmouth College are dedicating the fundraising from this cookbook to support the Nightingale Suite on the Maternity Unit at QA and the team would like to thank all of those involved in the project.”

To purchase a copy of the book for just £5, please pop in to Portsmouth College or call the wonderful Reception Team on 023 9266 7521 who will be able to arrange for a copy to be sent out to you (P+P Price will apply).
