The course
This course is designed for those who wish to know the effects of a range of drugs, including alcohol.  To know the harm associated with different substances and related behaviours.   To be aware of diversity in relation to substance use and misuse.  To understand why people use or misuse drugs.  To e aware of own responses to issues in relation to substance use/misuse.  To know the social and economic effects of substance misuse.  To use study skills within the learning process.

Who is the course for?

The course is open to all; people from all walks of life are welcome.

How will I be assessed?

The course will be assessed by ongoing assessment throughout the course.  You will be required to build a portfolio and keep a reflective diary. The Tutor may carry out observation and professional discussions to contribute towards the portfolio.

What qualifications will I gain/What can I do next?
Each learner will receive a CPCAB Certificate in Understanding Substance Misuse at Level 2.
