BTEC Health and Horizon enjoy a fantastic afternoon in the sun!
The Portsmouth College BTEC Health and Social Care students organised an afternoon for the College’s Horizon students at Baffins pond. The BTEC students had to plan, organise and coordinate the session, taking all Health and Safety matters into account. Working in groups the students decided on the different activities they wanted to do on the trip and a fantastic afternoon was really enjoyed by both the Horizon students and the Health & Social Care students.
‘The BTEC students organised an incredible afternoon for the Horizon students. They worked really hard and we are proud that they have all passed their assessment’ said Kerry Jagger, Team Coordinator, Health & Social Care.
Kay Hill, Team Coordinator, Horizons added ‘Horizons art students had a lovely afternoon when the Health and Social BTEC students took them to Baffins Pond. The students really enjoyed the walk and the sunshine. They fed the ducks, did treasure hunts and loved all of the attention and sweets they were given.’
Below are some of the comments from the Horizon students who enjoyed their sunny trip.
‘I liked feeding the ducks and I liked the girls’ Josh Rollason
‘It was really good. Will they take us out again?’ Olivia Parry
‘It was wonderful.’ Michaela Jackson
